Quality record with a healthily stoned sound. Toad bring to life the hard rock faves of the time; if I had to estimate I'd say 67 per cent Zep & 31 per cent Sabbath, with undercurrents of progressive & psychedelic rock. The longer tracks really kick out the jams, & the single-type ones are the necessary level of catchy. I wouldn't be surprised if "A Life That Ain't Worth Living" finds itself on my metaphorical shelf of personal anthems someday (probably alongside Vitus' "Born Too Late"). Top all that with the adorable frog mascot on the cover, & you've got a winner.
